What goes into a commercial solar system price in Pakistan
A commercial quote has two halves. The first is equipment: panels, inverters and any battery storage. That is what EGS sells. The second is everything your installer adds: mounting structure, DC and AC cable, protection devices, earthing, labour and the engineering to put it together safely.
Buying the main equipment yourself lets you see what each half costs. It also means you know exactly which panel and inverter models go on your roof, instead of a line that just says "Tier 1 panels". When you compare installer quotes, ask each one to name the models and list their own scope separately.
Which EGS products fit commercial buildings
Offices, shops, clinics, schools and restaurants use most of their power between morning and evening, which is when panels produce. That makes an on-grid system the usual starting point, with storage added where outages hurt the business.
- Aiko Comet 3N72 panels (655–690 W): large-format ABC modules for bigger roofs, so fewer panels and clamps per kW.
- Aiko Neostar panels (about 460–555 W): smaller modules that fit cramped roofs between water tanks, lift rooms and AC units.
- Sungrow SG5–20RT-P2 on-grid inverters: small offices, shops and showrooms on a three-phase connection.
- Sungrow SG25–50CX-P2 on-grid inverters: mid-size office buildings, schools and larger showrooms.
- Sungrow SH-T hybrid inverters (5–25 kW): smaller sites that want a battery for backup during load-shedding.
- Sigenergy SigenStack: modular battery storage for clinics, server rooms, cold rooms and other loads that cannot go down.
How to size a commercial system from your electricity bill
A rough rule for Pakistan: each kW of panels produces about 125 units a month on average. The figure varies by region and season, roughly 120 to 140, with less in Punjab's winter fog and smog, in hazy months and on dusty roofs. Treat this as an estimate. Your installer should check it against your roof's tilt, direction and shade.
Size for the units you use in daylight, not your whole bill. An office using 4,000 units a month, mostly between 9am and 6pm, needs roughly 4,000 ÷ 125, or about 32 kW of panels. Surplus units sent to the grid earn less than the units you use on site, so a system much larger than your daytime load pays back more slowly.
The inverter is usually rated close to the panel array, often a little below it. Your installer sets the final ratio. Our solar calculator gives a starting figure from your monthly units.

Battery storage for clinics, server rooms and cold rooms
An on-grid inverter shuts down when grid supply fails. That is a safety requirement, and it means on-grid solar alone gives no backup. If the business cannot stop during load-shedding, you need a hybrid inverter with a battery, or a storage system such as SigenStack.
SigenStack is Sigenergy's modular storage system for commercial and industrial sites. You add battery modules to increase capacity, so a clinic can start with enough to cover its critical circuits and grow later. It runs with Sigenergy's own hybrid inverter. Ask us for the full system datasheet.
To size storage, list the equipment that must stay on and how long it must run before the generator takes over. Send that list to us and we suggest a configuration.
What to ask your installer or EPC contractor
The equipment is only half the result. These questions help you judge the installation side of a commercial quote.
- Will you name the panel and inverter models in writing, and list your own scope separately?
- Can I see the single-line diagram and cable sizing before work starts?
- How will the structure be fixed to my roof, and what hardware will stand up to dust, wind and, on the coast, salt air?
- How will solar work with our generator without causing reverse power or trips?
- Who prepares the net billing application for our DISCO, and how long does it usually take?
- How will you set up monitoring so our facility team can see daily generation?
Net billing basics for commercial connections
Net metering in Pakistan was replaced by net billing under NEPRA's Prosumer Regulations 2026, in force since 9 February 2026. People still search for "net metering in Pakistan", but the current rule is net billing, applied through every DISCO: units you import are billed at your commercial tariff, and units you export are credited at a lower rate.
For a commercial building, that means the saving comes mostly from units used on site during business hours. Schools need extra care, since long holidays mean more export at the lower rate.
You or your installer file the application with your DISCO, such as LESCO, IESCO, FESCO, MEPCO, PESCO or K-Electric. EGS does not file net billing applications, but we provide the panel and inverter datasheets the file needs.
